SPCC Atlanta AHEC helps students on their road to successful healthcare careers

Atlanta is a central part of Georgia and the very heart of our state. It’s a city interwoven with roads and highways that guide its people through Georgia and connect them to the contiguous United States. That interconnectedness is what SPCC Atlanta AHEC provides. We prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals, in the Fulton, Dekalb and Clayton counties, for success in the healthcare industry. Our primary mission is to enhance access to healthcare by training students and supporting professionals who will then go out to educate and serve communities in need. SPCC Atlanta AHEC aims to be the highway that guides professionals and delivers on the promise to broaden access to health services across our state. We believe that no person should be left without access. We also believe we have the tools to help.

To accomplish our mission, we seek to:

Recruit and educate future health professionals.

Train and facilitate community-based clinical training experiences.

Retain and provide continuing education resources for health care professionals.

Engage communities in our programs and empower them to take charge of their health.
